A few days ago, I was out running some errands and walked right past these flowers without paying them any mind at first. But just as I was about to pass the very last bush, the sheer purple-ness of them really caught my eye.
It was striking enough that someone like me, who isn’t even particularly into flowers, actually stopped walking. I even backtracked just to get a better look. And I have to admit, the color was really beautiful.
While I was standing there admiring them, I happened to spot a single red flower hidden amongst all that purple in the background. I thought, ‘Hmm… that’s odd. Kind of cute, actually. The only red spot in a sea of purple. It really stands out.’ So I pulled out my phone to snap a few quick shots as a keepsake.
When I got home and looked through the photos, I realized just how lovely those flowers were. That’s when I also finally noticed that the wall of the building behind them was painted purple too.
If that purple wall had been a giant snake… I probably would’ve been bitten or swallowed whole by now. It was absolutely massive, and yet somehow, I completely missed it.
